One Person Flown to Hospital After US-41 Crash in Terre Haute

Terre Haute, IN – A serious crash on US-41 resulted in one person being flown to the hospital on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred near the intersection of US-41 and Hulman Street.

According to officials from the Terre Haute Police Department, a minivan and a pickup truck collided at around 6:30 PM. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. However, witnesses reported that one of the vehicles may have run a red light.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and found one person trapped inside their vehicle with significant injuries. Due to the severity of their condition, they were airlifted to Regional Hospital in Terre Haute for further treatment.

The other individuals involved in the crash were evaluated by medical personnel at the scene but did not require transportation to a hospital. The identities of those involved have not been released at this time.

US-41 was closed for several hours as crews cleared the wreckage and investigators gathered evidence. It has since been reopened to traffic.

This is just one of many accidents that have occurred on US-41 in recent months, causing concern among residents and city officials. In August alone, there were three serious crashes reported on this stretch of road, resulting in multiple injuries and one fatality.
